SUMMER STREETS SONGWRITING PROJECT ‘TOGETHER:APART’
As part of this year’s Summer Street Festival, musician Bridie Jackson will collaborate with Summer Streets favourites AUKESTRA to write an original song called ‘Together: Apart’, an anthem about the importance of connection and what has been keeping people and communities together despite the recent lockdown.
The song will be created by Bridie and the group together via Zoom, and following this, the group will each be invited to record and film themselves singing the song. These contributions will then be edited together to create a special music video, to be released on the final day of the festival, Friday 24th of July.

More information on Aukestra: Aukestra are a diverse collective of musicians: some are autistic, some aren’t. What all of the band have in common is a desire to produce high-quality creatively-challenging music. Lockdown has made this incredibly difficult so the group has started to explore new ways of doing the thing they love the most - making music.
